SUGAR everyone loves sweet treats, and they can’t have enough of them. That’s how Dominicans and their Country are sweet like sugar doesn’t matter if you like the white, the golden, the light, or the dark. Dominicans come in every flavor. WE ALL LOVE SUGAR. WE ALL LOVE DR.

Dominicans RUN NY. Literally! According to the Center for Latin American, Caribbean & Latino Studies at the City University of New York, the Dominican people are among the fastest-growing Hispanic populations in New York City. The Center estimates that the number of Dominicans residing in the city in 2013 — the most recent figures available from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey — showed 747,000 Dominicans that exceeds the numbers of other Latino populations.

Dominicans love to put their own spin on English words. This is one of those words. In the Dominican Republic, every Colmado (Corner store) has a (“Watchman / Security guard”) on deck ready to take action. They don’t call him Watchman or a Security guard, instead, it’s GUACHIMAN.
